The Governance Evolution

Governance is a critcal topic in Web 3 and one that we believe will become even more important as the industry matures.

With that in mind, we believe a governance structure for a project should also have the ability to evolve over time. This is why we believe Teddy DAO can innovate in that regard.

A project in its infancy is very different from one that is mature, and we believe the governance framework of a project should respect this.

An evolutionary governance model will allow the project to adapt and develop within a flexible framework.

Governance 0.0

Initially there will be no official community run governance. This is due to the low supply of Teddies at the start, but once we have minted 100 Teddies we will transition to 1.0.

Governance 1.0

We will deploy a snapshot page that will help give the community a voice to put forward proposals, and these will be treated as suggestions and taken into consideration by the team.

Given the nature of the platform and the sensitivity around charitable causes, malicious proposals will always need to be filtered out and thus reviewed by the team.

Governance 2.0

We aim to transition more into a pure DAO as the community grows and the brand becomes more established. We envision a future in which all donations are collectively pooled and then voted on by the community. These could be used for bigger projects such as building a school.

This would need to be approved by the community through the Governance 1.0 structure first
